NAViGO AGM 2017
September 20 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
On Wednesday September 20 NAViGO Health and Social Care CIC will hold the Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2015, from 9am-4pm at The Humber Royal Hotel, Grimsby.
The invited keynote speaker this year is Clarke Carlisle, the former Chair of the Professional Football Association and premier league football player.
In December 2014 Clarke tried to end his life by walking in front of a lorry. He has been on many TV and radio programmes talking of his depressionand about his mental health recovery and the ongoing challenges he faces and NAViGO are looking forward to welcoming him to our AGM .
Every year NAViGO CIC hold an Annual General Meeting which in the past has being attended by more than 200 people comprising of staff, service users, carers, members of the local community and visitors from other NHS trusts. The day is an opportunity to share and celebrate the developments and achievements that the mental health service provider has been involved in over the previous year.
Each year, NAViGO invites a guest to attend the AGM to share their experiences of living with mental health illness. This provides an opportunity to remind people that anyone can be affected by mental health illness at any time and it encourages people to talk more openly about these issues and seek help. Previousguests have included, Professor Green, Frank Bruno and Gail Porter. This year, Clarke will be taken on a tour of NAViGO services and given the opportunity to meet staff and service users; before sharing his experiences during a key note address at the AGM.
