As a substantive employee for NAViGO, you are entitled to the following benefits simply by working for the organisation.


Competitive Salary

We pay our employees in line with the Agenda for Change (AfC) NHS pay scales. All employees will (excluding bank staff) receive an annual increment on their salary which acts as a reward for their continued service.

Annual Leave

We believe that our employees should enjoy a healthy work-life balance, which is the main influencing factor behind us allowing employees at least 35% more annual leave than the statutory leave amount.

New starters with NAViGO are entitled to 30 days annual leave plus eight days statutory bank holidays. This increases to 32 days plus eight after five years of service and up to 36 days plus eight after ten years of service (pro-rata for part time staff).

Maternity, Paternity and Adoption Leave

At NAViGO we aim to help out our employees who are preparing to welcome a new addition to their families. We place an emphasis on offering first-rate maternity, paternity and adoption leave schemes, all of which are competitive with the very best on offer.

Sickness Pay

Flexible Working

NAViGO Health and Social Care pride ourselves on the fact that we always attempt to allow our employees to work flexibly.

We all of course have other commitments beside our careers, and we recognise that it is important that we encourage a positive work-life balance.

Currently, we have about 10% of our workforce actively working to an official flexible working pattern, with staff members working compressed hours, term-time only and annualised hours to name only but a few of the options we strive to make available.

Time allocated for charity work and military service is also available, as well as opportunities for career breaks for members of staff with sufficient service.

Training and Development

Our philosophy is that every member of staff should have the opportunity to develop and grow during their time with the organisation, and we feel that the training we offer gives employees the best footing on which to do this, regardless of their area of work.

Naturally, we offer excellent statutory and mandatory training as well as courses which can be opted in to by staff if they so wish. In addition to this, we endeavour to fund external training courses for staff where we feel this will develop them both as an employee and an individual.

Available to all NAViGO staff free of charge, the confidential Care Line is an external confidential information, support and counselling service which is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
