NHS Fleet Solutions: Lease Car Scheme

This scheme allows eligible employees to gain access to a brand new vehicle of their choice, which can be used for personal and business purposes. The vehicle’s lease, servicing costs and insurance premiums are all covered under a single monthly payment which is deducted from your take home pay before tax and national insurance under a salary sacrifice scheme, allowing some significant savings.

Cycle Scheme

The Cycle Scheme allows staff to purchase a bicycle, accessories and safety equipment through a salary sacrifice scheme. Offering significant savings over the list price of bicycles, this scheme is available to all NAViGO employees, subject to eligibility.

This scheme allows eligible employees to gain access to a brand new vehicle of their choice, which can be used for personal and business purposes. The vehicle’s lease, servicing costs and insurance premiums are all covered under a single monthly payment which is deducted from your take home pay before tax and national insurance under a salary sacrifice scheme, allowing some significant savings.

Under the scheme, you normally lease a car for a period of three years. There is no deposit and costs are fixed for all elements for the duration of the lease.

Below are some representative examples showing the savings that can be had on a range of vehicles. All examples are based on an employee working 37.5 hours per week, at the bottom of band 5 who is in the NHS Pension Scheme.

There are six independent retailers in Grimsby and Cleethorpes that are in partnership with the scheme, giving employees a broad choice of cycles and also allowing NAViGO to lend a helping hand to some of the area’s small businesses.

There are also cycle retailers in the Louth, Hull and Scunthorpe areas that are in partnership with the scheme, offering choice to those staff members that live further afield.

To give our employees that extra helping hand, we have also chosen to pass on our National Insurance Contribution savings to you – leading to further savings.

It is estimated that most employees will save about 35% on the list price of their chosen bicycle by purchasing it through the scheme, representing a great financial saving which, when coupled with the environmental advantages of swapping your car for a bicycle, appears a very attractive prospect.

Childcare Vouchers

We understand that it can sometimes be difficult, and costly, to juggle child care arrangements with work obligations. Childcare vouchers from Computershare Voucher Services offer our employees a method of easing this burden.

Child care vouchers are available to all eligible working parents at NAViGO. They are paid for through a salary sacrifice arrangement so are non-taxable and are exempt from national insurance. They are also the recognised payment method for registered carers.

All eligible parents with children up to 16 years old can benefit from the vouchers, which offer savings of up to £1,866 a family, a year.

Private Healthcare Insurance: Westfield Health

At NAViGO we believe in supporting the health and well-being of our employees, both in and out of work. Our partnership with Westfield Health allows employees to gain that extra piece of mind by signing up to a plan which caters for almost every possible eventuality.

As an eligible NAViGO employee, you are offered the opportunity to join the Advantage Healthcare Plan by Westfield Health. With cover for essential health costs and access to health related services, the Advantage Healthcare Plan provides an excellent benefit for you and your family, at an affordable price.

Prices for the plan range from £4.60 per month for level 1 to £28.80 per month for level 5, the most comprehensive package. All packages provide cover for the policyholder, their partner and dependent children.

The NHS Pension Scheme

NAViGO employees are able to join the NHS pension scheme. The NHS Pension Scheme currently has 1.35 million actively contributing members and 600,000 members with deferred benefits. They pay pensions to 700,000 pensioners every month.

As a NHS Pension Scheme member you can pay a contribution towards your pension based upon your pensionable pay; the more you earn, the higher your contribution rate may be. Scheme employers pay the rest. There are several rates of member contribution, which are set against nationally agreed full time pay rates. If the overall cost of providing the Scheme changes, the amount you and Scheme employers contribute may also change.

Pension contributions are taken from your pay before tax so you receive tax relief on any amount you pay. This can reduce the actual amount that you pay depending on your contribution rate, earnings level and personal rate of tax.

Member contributions can be between 5% – 13.3% of their pensionable pay.NAViGO contribute up to 14%.

Computer Scheme

Computing Scheme allows employees access to a wide range of the latest IT products including Apple products, paid for by simple and convenient salary payments. Payments from your salary are interest free and there are no credit checks. This scheme is available to all NAViGO employees, subject to eligibility.

Employees can benefit from saving on National Insurance at the nominal rate; that is up to 12% for basic rate and 2% for higher and additional tax payers.

NHS Home Electronic Solutions
